Encounter God Camp 2011

this is my first time joining a church camp
actually no..i've joined one many years ago where i can only remember the part where i am team leader and need to assemble a puzzle that looks really simple but it is actually very very complicated. after i finish assembling the puzzle in like 3 minutes, 98% of my puzzle is removed by the senior and he gave me a big "X". that was my only memory left about the camp.
so, this is my first time joining a camp since i came into FGA CYC.

to tell you the truth, i seriously didn't look forward going to the camp. i think only 0.5% of my heart wanted to join, the other left over 99.5% refuse to. no matter how many good reviews were given, i still didn't have the heart to join. but at the end, i still joined and now i am super glad that i've joined.

the first day was a really tiring day for me because me and joey have been working all day non-stop and time is not on our side. 5pm we immediately left the office and rush back home to grab our stuffs and rush back to church to catch the bus up to camp. by the way, i stay at puchong and i think you know how terrible the traffic is during peak hours. i was so stressed out i scolded all the cars that block my way *it's bad. don't learn* thanks God we still manage to catch the bus. PHEW!
in the bus i feel more relaxed but still not quite happy that i need to go to this camp. why do i dislike camp so much? it's because of Kuen Cheng Wind Orchestra.
never once i can have a beautiful memory in camp. sleeping in sleeping bags on hard and cold concrete floors, creepy sounds in the middle of the night, mosquitoes here and there, need to wake up in the middle of the night to do rounds, no decent meals, no free time, annoying section leaders, non-stop practising, bla bla blaaaaaaa. the worst part is the toilet. dirty and super disgusting. we need to take our baths in KC's super dirty, old, smelly toilet. just by thinking back, it gives me goosebumps.. i even remember once while we were taking our baths, a toad somehow manage to jump into the toilets and we were all screaming and screaming. how to take bath like that!!!!! the worst part of this worst memory is, we have only one time per day and 5 minutes to take our baths. INCLUDING the time to take off and wear our cloths again! then there is no hook or something to let us hang our cloths. we have to hang it on top the door of the toilet or above the toilet which i am very very crystal sure that no one ever cleans it and is full of lizard poops up there. goosebumps!!! we are also not suppose to wash our hairs in the toilet. we have to do it outside and a water supply comes from a rusty old tap.
BUT, this camp this totally different. time is more flexible and a much much much decent looking toilet. the dorms were small but very comfortable. althought we have to share our dorm with 16 other people, it is still quite spacious and comfy. awesomeness~ my mood got so much better when i reach the place. i feel so comfortable and peaceful at that place. the holy spirit is with us.

seriously it was a really memorable time. only one word to describe. AWESOMENESS! ♥
i believe everyone encountered GOD during that 3 day camp. it was seriously AWESOME!!
till today i really miss the time we spent at PeaceHaven. it was such an AWESOME memory!!
*i said AWESOME 3 times, it MUST BE super AWESOME!!!*

last week was the LOOOOOOOONGGGESTTTTTTTTT week of my life

except the part where i went to camp on friday and came back on sunday which is super super fun but too short. will blog about that soon

from a mere "RM50-for-4-hour-promoter" to a "RM50-for-4-hour-promoter-that-need-to-walk-around-getting-telephone-numbers" to a "under-the-blazing-hot-sun-RM50-for-4-hour-promoter-that-slips-flyers-on-people's-car". TERRIBLE ISN'T IT. lol

seriously if it isn't ♥joey working with me. i think i would be pitch black and having high fever by now

yes, RM50 for 4 hours sounds like a really good deal. BUT, *there is always a but..* under the blazing hot sun that makes you feel like the heat is penetrating your skin and like you will get a sunburn as soon as your skin touches the sunlight IS NOT WORTH IT.

no matter how much sunblock and aloe vera gel I splatter on my skin i can still feel the sharp pain all over my skin.

oh yeah, we even met our "colleague" while we are working super hard at Solaris. a indian guy who is also slipping flyers on cars.....me and joey just looked at each other and thought "OMG WHYYYY!!!!!!!!"

the funny thing is, there is also an uncle, who just randomly saw us slipping "a stack" of flyers under his car wiper called out to us. we thought he's interested in the fitness first thing and want to ask more, mana tau he pity us and ask us why did we choose this job. he even advise us to look for part time jobs in restaurants or cafe that he claim that we could earn more and have a much much much better working enviroment.

i was like, "lol, we didn't know the job requires us to do this job when we first sign up. we thought we just need to give out flyers."

that was the third day.

the forth day, we were sooooooooooooo tired of the job we just sloppily did our job. actually...we didn't. we didn't even came out from joey's car! we were like "yeeee~~~so hot, we stay in the car until not so hot first lahhhh" and then we both just slept soundly in the car. finally, when the clouds moved to cover up the sun, we finally decided to start working. mana tau, it started to rain. lol~ so we chilled at the mamak until we need to move on to another destination.

our next destination is plaza mont kiara's flea market. like omg, we were more attracted by all the lovely assessories and cloths than people's phone number. urgh...the stuffs there are sooooo prettyyyyyy~♥♥♥

nevertheless, you guess it!!! we just sat, talked, gossiped and looking at fishes for 4 hours there. we didn't even bother to promote to anybody there.

erm, for your information, to those people who criticise us for not working, the company have been sending promoters to promote their newly open fitness center for the pass 2 weeks! and worst, all at the same location! HELLOOOO~ additional information, the locations they've sent us to are all office blocks or schools, do you think many different people will appear there? we are like promoting to the same batch of people over and over and over and over again. lol, one person even said this to me when i approach him, "sorry but i have been seeing you guys alot here, and i've written down my contact for about 4 times already. i think i even have a stack of your flyers. lol. sorry ahh" he was nice enough to tell me all this and didn't just shoo me away rudely. i salute you anonymous man!!

i now have goosebumps just by listening to the word "FITNESS". ewwwwww...

but still, of course i have fun times, i have fun working with my dear friend ♥joey, i enjoyed chit chatting with her all day, i enjoyed not working and hanging out in mamaks with her, i enjoyed telling her everything in my life, i enjoyed every moment with her. ♥♥♥

cool right!!!

has been working these 2 days. kindda boring actually. very very VERY boring seriously. good thing i have my darling joey with me or i'll be dead by the first hour.
getting phone numbers are SUPER DIFFICULT!! i seriously prefer serving or promoting. at least i know how to do it and what i should do. this job is like, asking a total stranger for his/her phone number. oh yeah, i've learnt a lesson though.
"NEVER BE RUDE TO PROMOTERS, THEY ARE JUST DOING THEIR JOB. TRY TO HELP THEM AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE."
never again i'm going to walk pass a promoter without letting him/her mumble beside me (just to be kind and listen to what you are talking about although i'm totally not interested)

a promoter's life. urgh...tough and tiring. we have to meet so many kinds of people. high-class ones, low-class ones, working ones, busy ones, NICE AND SUPER KIND ones and just plain annoying ones.

the worst memory i had is a guy from this "so-call-very-busy-and-big-building-that-during-lunch-time-there-would-be-alot-of-people-in-the-cafeteria" building [give you a tip, it's a big building with a large hole in the middle. an arch actually]
i approached him in a really friendly and HARMLESS attitude, and straight away he start booming those "not-so-pleasent-in-the-ear" type of words. he's like:
"your company haven't finalized the price yet, so what are you doing here talking to me?"
"what zero joining fee? it's all a fraud!! don't go lying to other people anyomore!"
"do you have a permit to promote here in this government building. i'm going to call the security to reconfirm and ask why they permit you to promote here"
"go tell your supervisor that they have to train their staff properly. like this cannot lahh"
SERIOUSLY I ALMOST CRIED INFRONT OF HIM
i was like "so sorry, i will repeat your suggestions to my supervisor" and then i left. still i can hear in saying something bad back there
urgh....worst memory so far.

but still, there are super nice memories ^^
me and joey just stood at one place, for 1 hour, talking non stop.
we're just TOO LAZY to promote anymore  *super promoters out there, spare us both little lazy bumss*
and and and when some people just approach us automatically and leave us their contact numbers
i was like AWWWWWW♥♥♥
some people were so kind to tell us which part of the area with most activity. which is so nice of them. i was thinking if they have worked as a promoter before and know how difficult it is? so they helped us?
again i was like AWWWWWW♥♥♥

so far, i'm kindda sick about the job..
3 more days.
3 more days and i'm so not going to work as a promoter like this anymore!!!!!

which means i've not touched my blog for more than 4 month? *gasps*

i need resolutions! 2011 resolutions!
1. the unchangable, I WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT
2. participate in competitions
3. study super super hard
4. save money and buy myself an iPhone 4, but if my parents want to buy me one i won't deny xD
5. finish reading the new testiment of the bible
6. LOSE WEIGHT
7. find myself a boyfriend

short buy yeah, that's my resolution of the year.

oh by the way, i just get it know my semester 2 results
not bad, kind of boring.

Chilling Out at CHILLEX

ooopsy doosy, i've abandon my bloggie once again >0< *slap slap*

me and joanne used to drive past this really cool place but always end up going to 东风馆 =-=

but today, i insisted on going to Chillex after reading several blogs about the grand opening

i called joanne and said "Let's Go CHILLEX"

this place is located in the new building at Bandar Puteri, in a really eye catching location

whenever people drive through that road, they will go "ooo~~ let's go~~ that place look really really nice!"

and those people, includes me and joanne ^^

when we walk into the restaurant/cafe (i don't really know what to call it...let's just temporarily call it PLACE) we saw two adorable "talking bubbles" which are seats. so cute! ♥

then i start to imagine.........*floating floating* ♥♥ a rose, a candle, dim lighting, two person ♥♥ hehehe XD

we had a great time there~ snapping pictures non-stop XD

How nice would it be if there are more guys like him

for his girlfriend's birthday
he is willing to do things he never did before in his life

he actually made plans for his girlfriend's special day
not like other people, "a cake from secret recipe is good enough"
he is willing to spend to make his girlfriend's birthday a really memorable one
he didn't bother how tiring or how troublesome it would be to prepare everything he planned in such short time
the only thing he thinks about is the smile on his girlfriend's face when she saw what he prepared for her
how nice would it be if there are more guys like him

obviously the guy i'm talking about is not my boyfriend
but how i hope one day i will find someone that could do the same thing to me

just want to briefly tell what val has been doing lately:
she left Le Cordon Bleu Dusit last december and went back to her country
now, she's doing her Bachelor in Culinary Arts and Foodservice Management at Taylors University College
she has been really busy lately (don't know what the hell she's doing XP)
and she has been thinking about starting a small buisness online selling cookies and cupcakes!

Pastillage - a substance similiar to Gum Paste, made up of icing sugar, cornstarch, gelatine, water, lime juice and lard

i had a lot of fun playing with pastillage~ the only difficult part about it is it goes dry really really fast. you have to keep the dough under a plastic at all times! or it will go dry and hard and you can't use it anymore.
A small tiny tip on handling pastillage: DO NOT FIDDLE AROUND WITH IT TOO MUCH. make up your mind and just do it.
