get lost you...you...INSECT!!!

ants!!!!
gawd i hate them!!!

those little bastards are now using my stove as their "fitness centre"
they would walk around my stove and back to their home again...

"kill the ants" has became one of my daily chores every morning
i've got so pissed off i stuffed their little home with [tissue+glue]

why use glue?
because water will eventually dry up and the tissue won't stick anymore
so i used glue instead of water
and it's not ordinary glue..
it's SUPER GLUE
cruel ain't i?

but just now,
while i was washing the dishes and watching ben 10
i saw some slight movements at the corner of my eye
two little bastards came out for late jogging
grrr...

how did they come out!!!!!!!
my plan was perfect!!!
the hole is still stuffed
so how did they come out!!?!?
i'm so going to squeeze the whole tube of super glue into the hole later..

460 g all purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
227 g unsalted butter, room temperature

*i recommend to reduce the amout of sugar to 200g in the cookies if you want to decorate them with royal icing.

1. [flour + baking powder] --> in a bowl
2. [butter + sugar] --> mix till light and fluffy
3. add [eggs + vanilla] into 2, mix well
4. combine 1 and 2, mix till you have a smooth dough
5. flatten the dough, wrap with plastic, let rest in fridge for 1 hour
6. preheat oven at 180 degrees Celsius
7. roll out dough to a thickness of 1cm
8. cut out desirable shape, place on tray, let it rest in fridge for 30 minutes before baking
9. bake the cookies in a 170degree celcius oven for 10 minutes or sides of cookies turned brown
10. let cookies cool down completely before decorating with royal icing

-Royal Icing Recipe
2 large egg whites
2 teaspoon lemon juice
330 g icing sugar
food coloring (gel paste)

Procedure:
1. beat [egg whites + lemon juice]
2. when there is no more liquid egg white in the bowl, add in [sifted icing sugar]
3. beat on low speed till smooth
4. add in food coloring

*to vary the consistency of royal icing, add water or icing sugar
*royal icing must be used immediately because it will harden when exposed to air

To Decorate:
1. use a thicker consistency royal icing to draw the outline of the decoration on the cookie
2. to hide the ends of the outline, use a small wet brush and touch the ends, it will dissapear
3. use a thinner consistency royal icing to fill the inside of the outline

*if you want to draw something on the surface of the icing, you must wait till the icing is fully dried
